Tesla recently unveiled Model 3 in Hawthorne, CA. The good news is that it will have better specifications than the rumours in the market.
Model 3 will have base model as well as a more advanced model. The base model claims to be able to go from 0 to 60 in just 6 seconds. It also boasts to be able to travel at least 215 miles in a single charge. The advanced model is designed to exceed this numbers. The advanced model and its specifications will be announced on later date.
All Model 3 models will have autopilot feature installed by default and it comes with supercharging support standard. On top of that it is a rear wheel drive with dual motor versions planned to be released in the future. Similar to Model S, it also will have front and rear trunks.
For the interior design, there will be a 15-inch horizontal widescreen monitor as the dashboard. The instrument panel such as speedometer is moved to the corner of the centre dash display. This design is different from what is installed in Model S and Model X. The latter 2 models have 17-inch portrait monitor as the dashboard.
Model 3 deliveries will be starting at the end of next year. The pricing will be starting at $35,000 for the base model. To align with the release, Tesla is also committed to double the number of public superchargers from 3600 to 7200 by the end of 2017.
