Heuliez Bus Announced New GX337 Electric Bus

is a European bus manufacturer known to develop many types of public transport vehicles. It is 100% owned by Iveco through its subsidiary Iveco Bus. The company is reported to have sold 400 hybrid busses till to date and it is committed to provide real alternatives to fossil fuels.

Recently, the company has entered electric bus market by developing GX337 ELEC, an all-electric bus, which is going to be tested by the French public transport operator RATP. The vehicle comes with “Come & Go” feature which allows arrivals and departures in 100% electric mode at bus stops. As it is an all-electric bus, hopefully, it will further reduce fuel consumption as the hybrid mode itself has already proven to reduce 5% of fuel consumption, 30% of CO2 emissions as well as 50% of NOX emissions according to the company.

Heuliez GX337 will be having 12-meter length and installed with 175 kW electric motor. It is able to take up to 90 passengers. The battery is able to last for all-day service with an overnight charging using DC combo fast charger and pre-heating in the winter at bus depots.

Heuliez Bus covers about 26% of French Bus market and has already delivered hybrid buses to transport services in urban communities of Bordeaux, Dijon, Nantes, Angers, Toulon, Saint-Pierre Reunion and Barcelona.
