General Motor Unveiled 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV Production Version

Bolt EV 2017 version will be produced based on the Bolt concept which debuted in 2015 Detroit auto show. It is seen as ’s serious intention to market an affordable electric vehicle. The goal is eventually to produce an which is able to travel 200-mile range and priced at $30,000. Currently, such is already exists but as a form of Tesla Model S. However, it looks like it will be caught up by other models such as Nissan Leaf and Tesla’s own Model 3 soon.

Chevrolet Bolt EV 2017 version will be most likely to have subtle roof rails and black fender trim. The crossover proportions help to mask any extra height which caused by batteries placing. However, all these are not confirm until there is official introduction from the company itself. For the outer appearance, Chevrolet Bolt EV 2017 version might look similar to 2016 Chevrolet Volt and BMW i3.

There is not much information released on the powertrain of the new car model. However, it could most probably be using the lithium-ion battery pack which the company is most probably going to get them from its supplier LG Chem. The energy is expected to be at least 50kWh which is able to travel about 200 miles or more.

The production version of the car is expected to be showcased next month either at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas or 2016 Detroit auto show or both. The mass-production of the model will be expected to be somewhere in the late of 2016. The pricing will start about $30K after federal tax incentives.
