Apple Second Campus Reported Housing Electric Car Business

is reported to have signed an agreement to lease a huge plot of land in Sunnyvale, California. With this space, the company is planning to build office building which looks like a spaceship. This building is rumoured to house the company’s business.

Silicon Valley Business Journal reported that Apple planned to use the space to build a curvy 777,000 square foot office building which is able to hold 3000 employees. More information about the building can be found from the website Notanotherbox.com

Apple plans to release their version of electric car to be used on the public road by 2019 as reported at the Wall Street Journal recently. Apple is also rumoured to triple its existing 600 employees who are already working on the electric car project so that to fasten the production.

According to Gene Munster, Piper Jaffray analyst, while sales were likely to begin later than 2019, the investors were believed to have started to try to factor the Apple car into the model. Furthermore, he added that to put the car in perspective, every 40,000 units at a $75K ASP would add 1% to 2021 revenue.

This building is believed to be the second campus that is built by Apple. The company is reported to have spent $300 million for a total of 70 acres in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and San Jose altogether.
