Youxia X Electric Car is Chinese Version of Tesla Model S

is developed by Chinese startup, which will become the company’s first ever production car. The electric car has a lot of similarities with Model S, however, it is a little bit unfair to say that the vehicle is a rip-off of the car model, instead, it can be said that Youxia X design is inspired by Model S design.

Youxia X comes with three variations, 40kWh, and 60kWh or 85kWh version with 220, 230 and 460 kilometer ranges respectively.  The car uses a single 260kW electric motor which can reach 100km/h in 5.6 seconds whereas when compared with version which is released for Australia, it has 285kW single motor too and also can reach 100km/h in 5.6 seconds. Based on this numbers, it seems like there is not much difference between the two cars in terms of the engine.

Youxia X interior looks like the interior of Tesla Model S with the tall touchscreen center console and retracting door handles, however, it seems like the designer also included some designs here and there from Lexus, and Maserati altogether.  The car operating system is based on Android 5.0 and it is called KITT OS. Another interesting fact is that Youxia name comes from the Chinese version of Knight Rider TV series.

Youxia X will be priced at around $80,000 to $100,000 outside China market in case if it is sold internationally. It will go into production in 2016 with first deliveries in 2017.
